Milwaukee Repertory Theater - Digital Content Manager
I have created hundreds of videos in my time at The Rep, each one different than the next. Here is a small collection of some of my favorite videos I have created for The Rep since I started.

One of my most viewed videos (130K on Facebook) this video happened by accident (and has become one of my favorite things I have ever captured. In the video, Lou Bellamy (former Artistic Director of Penumbra Theatre Company) was asked "Why should I come to the theatre for the message more than to be entertained?" His response was perfect.

This video captures what I hope to do with the videos I create for Milwaukee Rep. I love to tell the story that not many others get to see, and to highlight the hard work of the people who work behind-the-scenes. This video highlighted three of those people.

Act II was Milwaukee Rep's ambitious Community Engagement program that followed our world-premiere production of American Song - a play about gun violence in America. After performances, we invited community experts of all ideologies to give their thoughts on the play. This video is a compilation of some of those responses.

Milwaukee Rep's production of The Invisible Hand was memorable for many reasons. It was the first of three productions we would be doing by Pulitzer Prize winning Ayad Akhtar, and the playwright visited the rehearsal process. This was a video that followed a traditional "Behind-The-Scenes" format that we created for the production.

We shot this promo of Alexis J Rogers singing a song from "Lady Day at Emerson Bar & Grill" a few months before the production began at the new Writers Theater in Glencoe, IL - just north of Chicago. The beautiful new building provided the perfect backdrop for this great video.

Like we mentioned before, Act II was an ambitious Community Engagement program that we created at The Rep. In order to introduce the program to the public, I was tasked with creating this video. With little assets, the end result was this video featuring our Director of Comm. Engagement.

Great River Shakespeare Festival - Video Intern
|
|
In the summer of 2014, I worked with the Great River Shakespeare Festival in Winona, MN as the video intern. I worked to produce weekly videos that would be released to 2,000 plus patrons on the GRSF Facebook/YouTube/E-mail subscribers. The videos above were just two of many that I help shoot, edit, and produce. Both were shot with a Cannon EOS Rebel T3i, and garnered thousands of views on the YouTube page.

I worked on a project upon which I produced for the local Southern Illinois PBS station, WSIU. In the project, I traveled to nearby cities to do a travel piece on different parts of the city.
The project, entitled WSIU Road Trip, aired on the nightly news program "River Region Evening Edition," and on its Facebook and Twitter pages. This video was shot with both Sony HD cameras and a Pentax K-r. It aired on February 12th, 2014 on WSIU - TV. |
